Busy, busy, busy

October is turning out to be a busy month. I haven’t had much time to write. I’m currently planning a birthday party for a 7 year old. It’s cut the rope themed. I love planning parties and decorating. I like to be creative. I guess it’s another one of my favorite things. I’m excited to share it once I have everything put together. I am also working on my Halloween costume and my son’s costume. He is going to be an Ewok. I’m sewing it again this year. Last year he was a zebra. I made it the weekend before Halloween. It came out pretty good so I though I would make another one this year. I’ll post up some pictures as soon as I’m done.

That’s all for now. šŸ™‚

Blog fail

I have not done a very good job at keeping up my blog. I started the Squat challenge and never finished it. I forget why now. I have also slacked on running the past 2 weeks because we have some very humid weather and it was hard to breath while running.

So I plan to get up dust myself off and get back on track. I think I will be doing a 7mile run this weekend with my friend to prepare for our half marathon in the spring. We are adding a mile to monthly run until we reach our goal. Hopefully the weather will be nice.

This weekend is going to be a big organization session. We have a ton of baby items to sort through and tag for the upcoming consignment sale next week. I hope we can get through it all. There are a LOT of clothes.

Well here’s to getting back on track with my blogging. See you all around.

30 Day Squat Challenge

Here is the printable for the 30 day squat challenge. I am going to take some before and after photos to share as well. Starting today! I’ve also decided that I should run right after the sun goes down. It’s much cooler at that time than in the morning when the sun is out and […]

Cards against humanity and derby

Today was the end of a 3 day weekend. I had to work some durring the day. However we had friends over for dinner and a card game. We played Cards Against Humanity tonight. We had a great time. It’s a really fun game. I think I could play it forever.

Yesterday was my first ever roller derby scrimmage. I did ok overall. I think i was good at communicating with my team. I was a bad jammer. I don’t think I ever made it through the pack. I wasn’t to bad as a blooper though. I really hope I can get better at jamming. I think it’s fun and would like to do better at it. I had such a hard time breaking through the pack. I don’t know why it was so hard for me. Some of the other jammers made it seem so easy. I had some great jammers on my team. The black attack team had a jammer that just powered through our wall every time. It was crazy. She would hit us full speed and break her way through. I’d love to have that kind of power.

We lost our match even though everyone played really well. We had them on the run in the first half. Things got a bit rough in the second half. I think we were really tired as well. I’m surprised I did as well as I did with it being my first ever bout. I look forward to having more time to practice and improve for the next bout. It was a bit hard joining in for the second one in my first session. I’m excited for session 4 and what it will bring!
